Keep your cat(s) at home whilst you're away - no need for a cattery. I'll also water plants and put the bins out!

Several years ago I needed to find a cattery for my two cats after a relative whom I used to reply upon became too elderly to care for them. I managed to find one but my cats didn't like the experience. How much happier they would have been had they been able to stay at home with someone popping in a couple of times a day to look after them and, at the same time, keeping an eye on my house.

Give me a call on 020 8468 7945 / 07968 525692 daytime or evening or email johnhemmingclark@gmail.com with the dates that you require.
For your first booking, and every subsequent one if required, I will arrange a visit to your home to meet you and your cats and to make sure that we are all happy with each other. At this visit I will give you a copy of my Terms and Conditions and checklist.
The day before the dates that you require I will come round to pick up keys and to go through the checklist and any other arrangements that we have agreed.
Whilst you are away I will visit your home at least twice a day (morning and afternoon / evening).
The day after you return I will come round to return your keys and to let you know how everything went. However you can contact me at any time during the booking to check up.

Price
£20 per day including part day for one or two cats. £50 deposit payable at time of booking, balance payable when keys are collected. The deposit is non-refundable but if the booking is cancelled the deposit can be applied to future dates.
Extras: Extra cat £5 per day
Extra (midday) visit: £5 per day

What you will receive
Preliminary visit.
Visit day before and day after dates required.
Each day booked I will visit your home twice, once in the morning and once in the afternoon / evening (with an additional visit around midday if booked).
At the first and last visit each day I will (as required):
Feed your cat(s)
Empty / refresh cat litter tray
Clear up any mess
Let your cat(s) out or get your cat(s) in
Do a check of the downstairs of your house and an external check of the whole house and grounds and inform you by 'phone / text of any irregularities.
Make emergency trips to a local veterinary surgeon.
Water any plants agreed in advance.
Put the bins out the day before and day after the collection date.

When I'm not cat visiting I am at home looking after my two cats or writing which is what I do for a living. I am married to Susie who is an NHS nurse and I have two children who are both at university. I am a volunteer Scout Leader at 5th Chislehurst Scout Group and volunteer youth helper at Christ Church Chislehurst. I hold enhanced DBS certificates for my work with both organisations.
I hold public liability insurance.
